Dominique A - Music Hall

Year : 2006
Big anxious grey skies
Nail the bathing day to the ground.
The man advances in the middle of the dunes
He walks swaying
He remembers the Music Hall
The long funnel corridor
Where the crowd was unwinding
Dresses hanging only by a thread
And the wet, wet sidewalk.

He advances in the middle of the dunes
Gomina beaten by the wind
He thinks it's eight o'clock in the evening
And he walks down the hall
Where the shoulders rustle as they slip
The crowd takes place in the heart of the dunes
The sea clapped loudly.

"You don't know how to say farewell to it"
Did she tell him last night
"You won't see if I leave
My road does not pass through your eyes
In your head, it's eight o'clock in the evening
Forever, here or elsewhere
It's the velvet of the long corridor
That we would find, if we opened your heart”.

At the Casino which watches over the dunes
The machines wake up, gasping,
A few orphans of the moon
Are already conscientiously working
At accumulating misfortune
A large strong coffee awaits
Near the rattling machines
As he enters, he sees the carpet
And he sees lights from the past.

" You don't know how to say farewell to them
Nor to those big red letters
Nor to the disorder of intermissions
Nor to the curtains which go floating
You remind yourself of the Music Hall
Of some laughter and tightened throats
And the rustling of the shoulders
And outside, the wet sidewalk”

Seaside boulevard, the house
In the heart of other silent houses
Mouths closed once the summer is passed
The table laid, the slender woman
The plate that just needs to be warmed up
And the evening before still vibrating
Of the few brewed truths
He forgives her without an effort
It was too real to touch it.

They kiss, she goes to work
She has the forgiveness of the ghost
And the unshaken hope;
Love rears up in the hall
Where memory has condemned him
With the great swaggering sadness
Of the decayed end of parties
Where the clothes take a break
And the heart is undressed.

And under the gray skies which worries
In the dunes or at the Casino
Among the hiccupping machines
He looks, he sees hoops
Of fires browning the carpet
And he sees some curtains falling
Hands clapping in the storm
Outside.

And he sees the letters
Red, and the crimson corridor
And all the possible of the nights
Which is displayed, red, spelled out
And none of this is over
Love nestles there, unbroken
And all the goodbyes are entangled in it
How to say goodbye to life?

He remembers the music hall
From the long funnel corridor
Where the crowd was unwinding
Dresses hanging by a thread
And wet, wet sand.

Yves Jamait - What the hell are you doing?

Original Title: "Qu'est-ce que tu fous?"
Year: 2006
What the hell are you doing without me?
What the hell are you doing there?
You must have, I imagine,
A reason that is yours
for not being here
I am sure he gets round you

I am sure he looks at you
With, at the deep of the eyes,
Promises of love
No matter the pledge he disguises
You do not notice a thing
in this farmyard.

Of course he must be sweet
And charming and amiable
And flatter your attire
When I, I am here pitiful
Imbecile and envious
Hoping for your return

What the hell are you doing without me?
What the hell are you doing there?
You must have, I imagine,
A reason that is yours
for not being here
I am sure he gets round you

It's not something to do
to put one's behind
on soft cushions
When I am here
Ass on the ground
Chanting prayers
To I do not know which god

You who never have a drink
The cocktail he is serving you
Is making your eyes shine
I, I vomit my anger
And drown it in beer
Making dark wishes

What the hell are you doing without me?
What the hell are you doing there?
You must have, I imagine,
A reason that is yours
for not being here
I am sure he gets round you

I remember yet of the time
when we were happy
When we were lovers
Everyday, both
Inseparable
But how far it's that time
I am not happy anymore
I am not your lover anymore
I am alone and shitty
Beyond repair

It's a bouquet of words in flower
that will come to caress the curves of your body
But devoid of any decency, his hands to confirm
And with your consent

What the hell are you doing without me?
What the hell are you doing there?
You must have, I imagine,
A reason that is yours
for not being here
I am sure he gets round you

What the hell are you doing without me?
What the hell are you doing there?
You must have, I imagine,
A reason that is yours
for not being here
I am sure he gets round you

What the hell are you doing without me?
What the hell are you doing there?
You must have, I imagine,
A reason that is yours
for not being here

What the hell are you doing without me?
What the hell are you doing there?

Dominique A - The Horizon

Original Title: "L'horizon"
Year: 2006
"We won't go any further" the captain tells you.
Too many obsticles today to reach the horizon
Exhausted whales are moaning on the strand
Their blood covers mouths like as many hooks

Like as many hills blocking out the horizon
of crests insensitive to the plains' adagio
"I'm really sorry" the captain tells you
And you feel he talks true and he has a good heart

Since then, the mouth ruby-red, a woman with a harpoon
Who enters inside your walls and bleeds the whales
makes you for months on disdain the horizon
and when you meet him, look down on the captain.

When you go home, you tell yourself you feel fine
The lie is everywhere infiltrated in your veins
so much you like tasting the blood of the whale
that is brimming over the lips of the woman with an harpoon

But one day on your sleeve pulls the captain
Eyes protruding, he tells you: "let's leave".
It's time to get out of the queens' sleep.
Because noone awaits you as much as the horizon.

It's Lop Nur that is hoping for you, The Inlandsis that is calling for you
The Sierra Nevada that is shouting your name at night
And it's the Big Blue that enhances the sky
Each of them asking for you and offering you the horizon

But that one escapes you, stopped in its momentum
through aggressive tops, deep valleys
stone hearted cities with extravagant shapes
See, the beard is growing on you and your pace is slowing down

And you hear afar the moans of the whales
which before ending on the strand have probably
known this horizon about which only the captain
still hopes for both of you that you cross its path

But one day about the silence raising in the vicinity
As your eyes come unstuck, you know that you have been left out
Alone with your old dream which shadow is a vulture
that under your rags feels the flesh drying up

And as in slow circles, he comes to engage you
the scenery flattens, the curves come apart
Everything frees itself, yes, no doubt weary of waiting for you
it's it coming toward you; it is there: the horizon
